New Emergence

3000 years ago, in what is now known as Deschutes National Park, a volcanic eruption left volcanic flows that killed all life and devastated the land of this area. Walking through this landscape a small pine can be seen emerging through the ancient hardened lava. Against all odds, life has come again. The elements never seized during this time: life remained surrounding this area, and the sun came daily, along with the wind, the rain, and the animals. What strength, what perseverance to be of the first to return, and not only be alive, but thriving, bright and full of light. Despite the time, the apparent outer destruction and circumstances, life continues, all moves forward. New beginnings are possible and ever present. Remain faithful, remain courageous, allow the elements to move through, and when the time is right, new emergence happens. And if that emergence is already present, recognition of that immensity will be revealed.
